To all that know me and know me well, they
would agree that the internet is
one of my passions. I undoubtedly can be found "online" in a
number of sites at any given time of the day checking the
vast amount of information that can be found, learned and shared.
Family and Friends mean a great deal to me, so I communicate
via social networking sites, instant messaging and of course email,
on a constant basis when I am not meeting them personally for
dinner, at a local pub/bar or at a card/board game somewhere near.
I separate my personal
life from that of my professional life nicely, although by nature
I am a confirmed work-aholic directing most of my time as an advocate for
low income senior citizens in the NYC area. You can read
about the organization I am involved with at
www.raices.us
.
In 2000, I founded Common Wealth Consulting
Services, after working in the Information Systems and Technology
field for over 20 years. Originally it began with my
conducting computer training classes, preparing and distributing documentation and supporting
all of the most common software applications available.
Today, it includes web design, authoring and
affiliate marketing, all done with the convenience of the
Internet. I did say I was a work-aholic didn't I? I
run a number of websites including TonyBarrios.com and USPals.com.
I continue extremely close ties with all my
family members and recently became "grand-uncle" to three
precious jewels, Nicholas, Jayden and Katelyn. After
my parents and life-partner passed away, my brother and sister and
their spouses and children have become more important to me than
ever before. We keep in close proximity to each other and am
invited to all family functions.
I remain friends with many of my elementary
school classmates (St. Cecilias - Greenpoint/Brooklyn, NY), high
school friends (Eli Whitney VHS, Williamsburg/Brooklyn, NY), and
work with an old college buddy and comadre (Baruch/CUNY).
Additionally, i remain friends and in contact with my ex, as well
as dozens of ex-co-workers from the past three decades.
If you Invite me out for a night at Yonkers' Empire
City, I'll be ready in no time. Otherwise you can
find me hanging at a local bar/pub with friends in Manhattan,
Brooklyn and Queens. And yes, give me a drink, some motown,
disco or salsa music and you'll find me making a nut of myself on
the dance floor. Sometimes growing up is not all that bad!
With that said, remember, there is only one
race that matters, and that is the Human Race. All others
are secondary... Love and respect as you would like to be
loved and respected... , Make the most of our short lives in
this world and never find failing at something as depressing as
not having had tried at all! AND HUG A SENIOR TODAY!
